David Clements

My name's David Clements & I'm a singer & songwriter from Melbourne, Australia.

I write songs that tell stories  about the everyday things  - and hopefully make you think about how lucky you are to be alive.

Like all good songs - most of mine have love at the centre of them. And wrapped around the heart of love, there are themes about family and time and mortality - the beauty and brevity of life. 

I started writing songs over 30 years ago - I played them live, but I never recorded them. And then all the things that make up a good life got my attention - family, children,  jobs, creating a home,  building memories & a future.

I wouldn't change any of that for the world - but one day I rolled over in bed and I was closer to 60 than 50 & I realised that I needed to dust off those old songs and start writing some new ones. 

And I really wanted to record, share and perform them before it all got too late - but thankfully, it's never too late - so here we are.

My music is on all the major streaming services. I would love you to follow me on one of them.
